•Today, I discovered one of the coolest things ever: A Christian death metal band which, after a short career (during which they wrote and performed an FF7!OGC tribute), retired and started producing an online cooking show. Just. I mean.
What, that is amazing.(The song has pretty terrible lyrics, but I respect the effort. You can listen to it
[here].)
•A while ago, I finished watching the first season of House. It had been years since I'd finished watching the first season of anything that didn't have subtitles, so I feel like I deserve some kind of award for this.
And it has real actors, oh my god, this is such a change for me.•In real life, I'm suffering through a ridiculous crush on a boy in my lit class. It's hopeless because he has a steady (and very attractive) girlfriend. I
should be able to accept that and move on, but he's just so eloquent and ruggedly handsome that even though Savannah's Brain is saying "I do believe that this is a lost cause and that we should redirect our attentions elsewhere", The Rest of Savannah is like "POUNCE HIM. POUNCE HIM NOW. CARPE DIEM, ASK HIM TO PROM." The Rest of Savannah has an unfortunate tendency to
not learn things after the first time.
•As I'm sure most of you have noticed, I have something of a ridiculous fixation on strippers right now. As a result, I totally want to write a my NaNoWriMo novel this year about the goings-on at a strip club. ...I got halfway through plotting it when I realized that it was less about strippers and more about a generic love quadrangle, so I've gone back to the drawing board for now.
•Finished the first volume of Saint Young Men. Check out this premise:
"What if Jesus and Buddha were living on Earth in modern times? What if they shared an apartment in Japan?"If you think that sounds
completely fucking awesome, you can check it out
[here]. If you think it sounds
anything other than completely fucking awesome, I find your thought process bizarre and intriguing, and I wish for you to explain it in the comments.
